The key industrial areas comprise Bukit Minyak Industrial Park, Prai Industrial Park, Bukit Tengah Industrial Park, Penang Science Park and the ongoing development of the 1000 acres Batu Kawan Industrial Park.
There are 12 established and growing industrial parks within a 15km radius of Pearl City Business Centre, providing support for the project. The Prai Industrial Estate, Penang Science Park, Bukit Minyak Industrial Estate, Bukit Tengah Industrial Estate, Juru Industrial Park, Jawi Industrial Park and Batu Kawan Industrial Park are among the well-known industrial estates which are mainly involved in semiconductor, electrical & electronic manufacturing, photonics, electronics equipment & devices, storage and halal food processing.
These key industries have generated thousands of employment opportunities as well as stimulating the growth population in this region. The State Government highly encourages the growth of ICT (software & multimedia), LED, solar, medical devices and aerospace industries and they will be strongly promoted in the upcoming industrial areas such as the Batu Kawan and Penang Science Park.

Pearl City is strategically located between the Southern & Central District of Penang mainland. It enjoys excellent accessibility contributed by major infrastructure links such as the North-South Highway, Federal Road (Old Trunk Road), the Penang Bridge, Penang Second Bridge and the Electrified Double Track Station.
Pearl City links to the main town of Bukit Mertajam, Bukit Minyak, Bukit Tengah, Juru, Alma, Simpang Ampat, Sungai Bakap, Nibong Tebal, Jawi, Tambun and Batu Kawan. To the West, Junjung, Machang Bubok and Kulim can be connected via Jalan Tasek and Jalan Besar.
